Project for female choir

In May and June 2012 Kleine steentjes muziek organizes a choral project for a cappella women's voices. The choir will be composed of approximately 20 singers. The aim of the project is to work intensively on highlights from the à cappella repertoire for female choirs during a short period (5 rehearsals) and finish with several concerts in the Randstad area. The project is conducted by Michel Havenith. Participation takes place after an audition.

Repertoire

• A cappella choral works for women's voices from the 20th and 21th century. The repertoire includes works by Reger, Cui, Poulenc and Joel. Full details will follow.

Participants

• Profile: Singers (amateur and professional) with a trained singing voice and experience in a cappella choral singing.
• Conditions: Participants take part in all rehearsals and concerts and prepare the repertoire at home (the rehearsals are intended for work on performance and choral sound)

Details

• There is no fee for participation, there are no compensations.
• Auditions: Sunday, March 25th and April 1st 2012, from 11:00 to 14:00h in Zoetermeer. Program will follow.
• Dates and times of rehearsals: Saturday, May 12, 26 and June 9th, Sunday, May 20th and June 3rd, 2012, from 10:30 to 13:30h.
• Location of the rehearsals: Zoetermeer.
• Concert dates: Sunday afternoon June 10th, Saturday evening June 16 and 23rd 2012, respectively in Rotterdam, The Hague, Zoetermeer
