Arranging for music teachers

Music teachers often lead student ensembles that are composed of many different instruments. All too often, music has to be arranged for the instruments that are being played in that particular setting. Many teachers, therefore, feel the need for refreshing or expanding their arrangement skills

During this course, an arrangement will be made of a work that suits modern practice. Point of departure will be the instrumentation of the group of participants, as all participating teachers will bring their own instrument. The advantage of this way of working is that the results of the arrangements can be heard and discussed during the training. The workshop usually consists of four sessions of three hours each.

The learned skills can then be put into practice by the participants when arranging for diverse student ensembles.

If desired, the workshop can also be conducted with musical notation software. In this case, the course can be preceded by our separate workshop, Working with Musical Notation Software.
