The stage demeanor workshop evolved from the workshop 'Stage demeanor for (pupils of) music teachers'. In the latter, the teachers teach the stage demeanor skills to their pupils. In the current workshop however, the ensembles themselves are working on their stage demeanor.
Stage demeanor plays an important role for each ensemble. Of course, the fun in playing together is key, nevertheless leaving an impression as good as possible to to the audience plays an increasingly important role.
During the stage demeanor workshop, participants work as concrete as possible to improve on their stage demeanor and of that of the ensemble. Their own observation is sharpened, so that factors such as attitude, behavior, presentation and body language are recognized and the workshop forms a basis for future performances. Performances are simulated as concrete as possible during the workshop. The are captured on video and are being evaluated during the workshop.
The participating ensemble members bring their instruments and music of their own choice. However, the music itself, or its peformance will not be addressed during this workshop.
